All our glass partitions are made with steel frames. At a thickness of 25 to 40 mm, their slimness and design are unique.
Handcrafted in our workshops, the frame is welded to obtain the profile you want. It is then powder-coated, and the panes are sealed to the frame with putty or glazing beads. Which style of glass partition should you choose?
There are two distinct models.
The glass partition in “artist’s studio” style
This is the most traditional one, very fashionable today and interior designers love it. It fits in easily and offers a wealth of possibilities for arranging your home.
It is generally made of steel. It first appeared in artists' studios in the 19th century to separate their workspace from their
living space. It provided light and warmth, making the workroom pleasant. The aim was to divide two areas
in a practical and clever way. Today it is ideal for separating two spaces while you keep all the light, with a very trendy vintage touch. A real added value for your home, as it gives it
character and visual comfort without reducing living space.
The "loft" style glass partition
It generally has a base panel, that is, a solid steel panel on the lower part. An interesting option to
create a very slim partition without building walls and without isolating the rooms from one another. This glass partition has an industrial look. They
are commonly used in loft renovations, lofts being homes built in former industrial premises.
Today, installing a "loft" style glass partition adds a touch of originality that is very designer. These glass partitions save space and keep all the light.
Assembly techniques for interior glass partitions
Three models stand out in the design.
The simple glass partition
It is made of a metal frame. Each pane is held in a framed grid. It can be configured according to your needs with one or several panes.
Made entirely in our workshops, these glass partitions are very easy to fit and suit most surfaces, whether brick, concrete or plaster walls or a kitchen counter.
They are delivered ready to fit with instructions so you can install them yourself. Their price varies with their width and the number of panes you want, but remains very affordable.
This glass partition generally rests on a wall or partition about one meter high.
The glass partition with crossbars
This is a simple glass partition with horizontal crossbars added on the upper part. The crossbars can be wood
or metal. They add character and charm to your glazed partition.
They are also very easy to install and suit the same surfaces as simple glass partitions. The glass partition with a base panel.
It consists of a glazed panel with its frame and a solid lower section. This is a panel that makes up about a third of the height of the glass partition. The glazing can be fitted with crossbars.
This option is interesting because it offers many possibilities.
You can add a hinged door or fit an opening sash. These glass partitions can then open, becoming almost removable partitions.
Choice of materials
The glazing
Our glass partitions are made with laminated glass. It is a safety glass that withstands impacts very well and does not shatter.
What makes it special: it is made of two sheets of glass with a PVB film sandwiched between them.
A "33-2" glazing is made of two 3 mm panes of glass and a 2 mm central PVB film.
Choose your glazing type :
- Clear – 33-2
It is made of two 3 mm panes of glass bonded to an invisible 2 mm film.
- Translucent – 33-2
To keep the light while protecting you from prying eyes. These glazings are particularly suited to bathroom partitions.
This opacity is created by an opaque film inserted between the two layers of opal glass.
- Colored – 33-2
To add a decorative touch, choose a colored tinted glass. You will enjoy the play of light they let you create.
A colored PVB film is added between the two panes of glass.
- Sound-insulating (acoustic) – 44-2
A 4 mm acoustic glass is used. A 2 mm PVB film is added between the two panes. A perfect option for shielding yourself from noise.
Ideal for a quiet office.
The frame
We recommend black for its timeless look that is always in fashion. But you are free to personalize your glass partition creatively,
as it is available in more than 200 colors.
Also choose its finish:
- The raw finish
The metal is ready to be painted with a special metal paint, which leaves you room for personalization. This finish is appreciated
for its purity. The metal keeps its rough texture. The industrial and
vintage effect is thus heightened.
- The varnished finish
The metal is polished and then varnished. The metallic shine is brought out. Smoother to the touch, this finish helps prevent possible
corrosion.
