OMPT GROUPE recently carried out a complete refurbishment of a villa in Mandelieu-la-Napoule, requiring major work on the building's load-bearing structure.
As part of this project, several load-bearing walls were opened in order to completely rethink the interior volumes and bring more light into the living areas.
In line with the recommendations of the structural engineering office, we carefully propped the whole existing structure to secure it before any heavy work.
The load-bearing walls were demolished with precision using a diamond circular saw, a controlled cutting technique that avoids vibrations and preserves the integrity of the building.
Once the demolition was complete, we installed a steel reinforcement structure made up of HEA180 and HEA220 beams, fixed with base plates to the existing reinforced concrete columns. This reinforcement was carried out in strict compliance with current safety standards and validated structural studies.
Thanks to this highly technical work, the villa now has an open, modern and perfectly secure interior space. This project illustrates OMPT GROUPE's expertise in load-bearing wall demolition, creating openings in masonry, and reinforcement with steel structures.
