OUVERTURE MURS PORTEURS TREMIES carried out a project in Beaulieu-sur-Mer to create an opening in a load-bearing wall, to serve as a doorway.
This type of project requires steel strengthening of the structure. We followed the procedures recommended by a structural engineering office (BET) to carry out the operation perfectly.
After protecting the premises with plastic-coated sheeting and hardboard panels, vertical propping was installed to support the weight of the floor and the roof.
Our team then demolished two separate partitions using an electric saw and a specialist machine. An opening was then cut in the load-bearing wall with the same machines.
An IPE220 lintel was laid and sealed at each end with non-shrink mortar. To support it, a reinforced concrete column was placed.
To finish, we painted all the metal surfaces with anti-rust paint and cleaned the work area.
