Our company OUVERTURE MURS PORTEURS TREMIES carries out different kinds of work to fit out your home. A client in Paris 16th came to us to strengthen the second-floor floor in his apartment.
As is our way, we began our time on site by putting general protection in place. Next, we installed vertical propping to temporarily carry the weight of the floor, using props and timber planks to spread the load.
Then we began removing the existing floor with an electric wall chaser. Once the whole floor had been demolished, we built reinforced concrete bearing pads. The three HEB200 beams were then placed on the pads. The angles were installed to act as supports for the floor, fixed to the beams and fillet-welded. The whole floor was filled with concrete to give a solid floor. All the steel structure was covered with anti-rust paint to prevent deterioration over time. We finished the work with a general clean.
