Our next project was carried out in an apartment in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. The client wanted to create an opening in a load-bearing wall between the dining room and the kitchen, and reinforce it with a steel structure.
At every stage of the project, we followed the methodology recommended by the structural engineering office (BET).
After protecting the premises with plastic sheeting, we installed vertical propping to support the load-bearing wall during demolition.
Next, we created the opening and fitted an HEA200 beam to carry the weight of the upper floor and the load-bearing wall.
Once the work was complete, we painted the metal surfaces with anti-rust paint and cleaned the apartment.
