OMPT GROUPE, specialists in steel structures, was asked to create a custom steel staircase to connect the upper floor of a house to its newly converted attic. This project called for precise design and made-to-measure fabrication, suited to the space and to the client's needs.

The work began with supplying and installing a staircase made entirely of steel. The staircase structure was built with steel angle treads, providing both strength and an industrial look. All the elements of the staircase were joined by welding, guaranteeing optimum strength and a perfect fit with the existing structure.

Once assembly was complete, a grey anti-rust paint was applied to the whole steel structure. This finish not only protects the staircase from corrosion but also gives it a modern, elegant look that blends harmoniously into the home.

For comfort and appearance, the tread boards were made of varnished natural oak. These treads measured 800 x 250 mm, with a thickness of 22 mm, adding a warm, authentic touch that contrasts pleasingly with the steel structure of the staircase. The carefully selected, varnished wood offers both durability and elegance.
