Wanting more space and light in their home, a client in Mandelieu-la-Napoule asked us to demolish a load-bearing wall and then install a steel structure for reinforcement.
First, the works began with the installation of general protection for the premises. To support the ceiling and the load-bearing wall, we put up vertical propping. The wall was then demolished using an electric chainsaw and a special machine.
We installed HEA200 secondary columns, welded to base plates at the top and bottom and fixed with chemical anchors. They carry the load of the HEA200 beam installed right afterwards. To spread the load of the columns, footings were poured.
At the end of the strengthening, we applied an anti-rust paint to protect the steel over the long term and, as always, cleaned the premises.
