OMPT GROUPE, specialists in structural reinforcement work, worked in Cagnes-sur-Mer on a job demolishing partially load-bearing partitions and installing a steel reinforcement structure.
The work involved removing several interior walls to reorganise the existing volumes and open up the spaces. Before demolition, our teams installed temporary vertical propping, following the structural engineering office's instructions, to secure the work area and relieve the loads throughout the job.
After the partially load-bearing partitions were demolished, OMPT GROUPE carried out the structural reinforcement with steel sections. Load transfer was provided by HEA140 columns, HEA140 beams and an HEA120 beam, connected by welded base plates, bolting and steel angle sections. Reinforced concrete padstones were also cast to give the reinforcement elements a solid bearing.
The steel sections were fixed, sealed in and packed with non-shrink mortar to ensure a reliable connection with the existing structure. Anti-rust paint was then applied to the steel structure to protect the installed elements over the long term.
This job in Cagnes-sur-Mer illustrates OMPT GROUPE's expertise in demolishing partially load-bearing walls, underpinning, reinforcement with IPN steel beams and interior transformations requiring skilled structural work.
OMPT GROUPE works in Cagnes-sur-Mer, Nice, Antibes, Cannes, Mougins and throughout the Alpes-Maritimes on your projects to open or demolish load-bearing or partially load-bearing walls and to add steel reinforcement.
