In Fréjus, OMPT GROUPE stepped in to make safe and strengthen a timber floor that had sagged badly. The work was carried out strictly to the drawings of the structural engineering office (BET) to guarantee the stability and longevity of the structure.
The steel reinforcing structure that was installed consisted mainly of HEA180, UPN180 and HEA140 sections, connected together with welded and bolted steel angles, fixed to the underside of the timber floor. This method redistributed the loads and effectively strengthened the existing timber joists.
Thanks to this work, the floor regains its original strength while meeting safety and durability standards.
