OMPT GROUPE worked in Théoule-sur-Mer (06590) to carry out the creation of a stairwell opening in a concrete floor, together with structural strengthening using carbon plates and the construction of a custom steel staircase.
Before the floor was opened, full propping was installed in line with the requirements of the structural engineering office, to secure the floor and the load-bearing walls. The opening was then created by controlled demolition of the concrete slab, with diamond-blade cutting and removal of the rubble.
To guarantee the stability of the structure, the floor was strengthened with CarboDur-type carbon strips, bonded in line with a structural study validated by the BET. This solution increases the load-bearing capacity of the floor while limiting the added weight.
Following on from the opening, OMPT GROUPE designed and installed a custom steel staircase, made up of a UPN steel structure and flat steel treads, complemented by formed concrete treads, with anti-rust protection on the whole structure.
This project in Théoule-sur-Mer illustrates the expertise of OMPT GROUPE in creating floor openings, strengthening concrete floors and custom metalwork, in close coordination with structural engineering offices.
