A recent project by OMPT GROUPE, specialists in floor strengthening, took place in an apartment in Juan-les-Pins. The work consisted of strengthening a floor following the demolition of partitions as part of a renovation project.
Our team began the job by putting rigorous protection measures in place to preserve the integrity of the site.
To ensure the stability of the building's structure during the work, a temporary shoring system was carefully installed to support the floors concerned.
The partitions were demolished methodically with a special machine. The debris was removed efficiently and safely.
To reinforce the existing timber joists, UPN220 steel beams were installed on either side as a twin-beam clamp (moisage). These reinforcements were carefully positioned using through threaded rods, ensuring a solid and lasting connection.
This structure provides adequate support and an optimal distribution of loads.
Once the reinforcement was complete, the steel structure was prepared and coated with a top-quality anti-rust layer to ensure its longevity and corrosion resistance.
Finally, the site was thoroughly cleaned to remove every trace of debris, ensuring a clean environment before handover.
