Strengthening the floor in Fréjus after partition demolition

83600 Fréjus

OMPT GROUPE has just completed an exceptional job in Fréjus, strengthening a floor by installing an HEA 200 beam, following the demolition of partially load-bearing partitions.

Project background

The aim of this job was to remove several partitions inside a lived-in space in order to create a more fluid opening and optimise the layout of the rooms.
A complete technical study was carried out in collaboration with our engineering office (BET), ensuring safety and compliance with current standards.

Method and work phasing

  • Phase 1: setting up safety propping to protect the adjacent structures and keep the existing floor stable.
  • Phase 2: strengthening the floor by installing an HEA 200 steel beam, positioned where floors spanning in different directions meet, to ensure optimal transfer of the structural loads, in line with the method validated by the BET.
  • Phase 3: refitting the timber floor on steel supports, with careful finishing and rigorous checking of flatness.

This work reflects the same level of standards and professionalism as our previous projects in Cannes and across the whole Côte d'Azur
