As part of an interior remodelling project for an apartment in Cagnes sur Mer, OMPT GROUPE stepped in to carry out a structural reinforcement solution following the demolition of several load-bearing partitions. The work was done following the method prescribed by the engineer.
Before any demolition, propping was set up beneath the partitions concerned to keep the structure safe during the works.
Pockets were cut into the load-bearing walls to receive the reinforced concrete bearings.
The steel sections were sealed onto the bearings with a shrinkage-compensated mortar, ensuring a reliable, lasting anchorage.
Steel shims were driven in between the underside of the floor and the sections to take up the structural load.
Once the structure was in place, the propping was removed, confirming the stability of the new assembly.
